“Overthinking is the biggest cause of our unhappiness. Keep yourself occupied. Keep your mind off things that don’t help you. Think positive.”
I was an overthinker, always sad about the future. It felt like my mind was trapped in a never-ending cycle. I used to look at some of my friends who were earning a lot of money and had built their own houses. Others seemed extremely happy with their life partners like they had found true love, always going on trips and enjoying life. This made me feel like only bad things were happening to me. Thinking about this made me sad at first, then tense, and eventually depressed. This is something that happens in many people’s lives. Even if we don’t compare ourselves to others, people remind us of it.
We can only put in the effort and try our best to get our future on the right track. The Bhagavad Gita also says that you should go as far as you can see, and once you get there, you will see further. So for now, we should walk our path honestly and learn from the experiences to move forward.
Another thing is to do your work without worrying about the results. We often think more about the outcomes than the work we are doing, and this leads to overthinking. This is also a line from the Bhagavad Gita: “Do your duty, without concerning yourself with the results.”
This is my personal experience of life
